Course Description

Delegates will develop the skills and acquire the knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, head and spinal injuries, abdominal injuries, external bleeding and anaphylaxis.

Course Objectives

The delegate will understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider. He/she will be able to assess an incident and manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally and a casualty with external bleeding, deal with poisoning, neck and back injuries and anaphylaxis shock.

Suitable For

Qualification has been specifically designed for those who have a responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide first aid when dealing with an emergency situation whilst undertaking activities, such as sports, swimming, hiking, rock climbing etc.

Course Requirements

Delegates must be at least 14 years of age on the first day of training.
