Course Description

Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider, be able to assess an incident, be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing, be able to deal with poisoning along with dealing with a road traffic accident where victims are wearing helmets and managing their airway. be able to manage a casualty with external bleeding and understand the administration of oxygen.

Course Objectives

Delegates will gain the knowledge, skills and competences needed to deal with a wide range of pre-hospital medical emergencies, such as managing a patient’s airway, catastrophic bleeding and fractures. After completing the course, delegates attending an incident will be able to provide trauma pre-hospital care. when arriving at the scene of an incident.

This qualification is specifically designed for those seeking a career in the emergency or ambulance services or event medical sector and those employed in high risk workplaces.

Course Requirements

Delegates must be at least 17 years of age on the first day of training.
